Media Phoenix Corp., operating Neotopia ("we", "our", or "us"), provides the Neotopia mobile application and web game (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect:
Gameplay Data: We automatically collect:
User-Generated Content: Content you create within the game, including:
Technical Data:
Optional Voice Features: If you choose to create an in-game voice, we process a short voice sample, your selected language, a provider-issued voice profile identifier and status, and the temporary speech clips generated for messages you send with the feature.
Advertising Measurement (web and Android): On supported web hosts, Meta may receive browser identifiers used for ad attribution (such as _fbp and _fbc), the page path, the connection IP address, and browser information. In the Android app, Meta and TikTok may receive app and device identifiers used for install and ad attribution. The Android integrations may send a one-way hashed internal account identifier and a small set of onboarding events: app or game loaded, guest play started, registration completed, tutorial completed, and first non-tutorial world entered; TikTok may also measure app launch and next-day return. The web version may send page viewed. For registered web players with a Firebase-verified email, server-side Meta onboarding events may include a one-way SHA-256 hash of the normalized email address; Neotopia does not send the raw email address to Meta or TikTok. You can turn Advertising measurement off in Settings. We do not send chat, messages, inventory, world contents, purchases, or detailed gameplay to Meta or TikTok.
We use the following third-party services:
These services may collect additional data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Your data is stored on secured servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), authenticated access controls, and password-protected databases. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Moderation records (bans, mutes) may be retained for safety purposes even after account deletion. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app Settings menu, which removes your Neotopia account data, gameplay progress, associated content, and any queued advertising measurement records. Measurement already transmitted to Meta or TikTok is processed under the applicable provider’s privacy policy; turning Advertising measurement off prevents future measurement from Neotopia.
For optional voice features, the original sample passes transiently through Neotopia's game server to EESI and is not written to Neotopia's persistent storage. Your provider voice profile remains available until you replace or delete it. Generated message audio uses short-lived playback links and an automatic deletion schedule. EESI may retain and process voice data according to its applicable terms and privacy practices.
You have the right to:
To exercise these rights or for any privacy-related inquiries, contact us at support@neotopiagame.com.
Neotopia is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@neotopiagame.com and we will take steps to remove that information.
Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence, including the European Union and the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
We use browser or app-local storage for essential session data and to remember whether you have turned advertising measurement off. On supported web hosts, the Meta Pixel may set or read advertising measurement cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. You can turn Advertising measurement off in the game’s Settings menu; Neotopia then stops future Meta measurement and, on the web, attempts to remove those first-party Meta cookies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
